Generation Farms is dedicated to operating as safely, efficiently, and effectively as possible. We’re proud to maintain these industry certifications.
As we work to become the future of fresh produce, sustainability is a critical focus. We need healthy land, and healthy people, to continue sharing high-quality produce for many years to come.
We look for sustainable ways to make the most of every acre, including terracing fields for better soil retention and erosion control, using biodegradable mulch, applying minimal tilling techniques, and harnessing biodiversity to keep our land and soil rich and healthy.
Water is a precious commodity, and we treat it as such. By precisely monitoring crops with field-based moisture monitors, we’re able to carefully meter irrigation efforts to use only what’s needed and no more. Our custom-built retention ponds release only clean water back into nature.
Sustainability means more than soil, so we’re also focusing on sustainable labor practices that enhance the lives and livelihood of full- and part-time employees. At the same time, wherever possible we’re converting facility roofs into solar panels to make the most of our sunny growing regions.
As we continue to grow, we’ll also continue to push our own sustainability standards—we can always do more, and we will.
The health and wellbeing of consumers is our top priority. Our goal is to not just meet food safety standards, but to exceed them. Just a few of our food safety practices include:
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Full-time food safety experts lead our efforts, ensuring Generation Farms is always on the forefront of health and safety practices.
Cutting-edge technology might not be the first thing that pops into your head when you think about fruits and vegetables. But our dedication to being the future of produce includes harnessing smart technology to enhance quality, safety, and sustainability.
Though we’ve been farming for generations, we’re not stuck in the past. We know that with the right technology—from drones to satellites to artificial intelligence—we can continue to improve our industry.
Predictive models deliver optimal water, fertilizer, and pest control
Realtime imaging allows instant reaction to issues on a plant-by-plant basis
Proprietary communications networks give live feedback on field conditions
Packing automation ensures quality while limiting unnecessary contact
At Generation Farms, we use technology to help us plan, plant, and pack. It’s one more way we ensure that our partners, and their valued customers, get the best produce possible.
